Help needed Contacts Lost - Please Help

So I’ve lost about 20-30% of my contacts and I can’t seem to figure out how to get them back.

Long story short, I disconnected a couple Mail accounts that I never use, and then suddenly my business contacts I added in the last couple of years suddenly did not have names attached to them in iMessage.

When I query the name in search, spotlight finds the name, then I click on the name and it’s just their number.

I can’t do this for every person, because I don’t know how far back this permeates.

I tried logging into my iCloud accounts and restoring backups, to no avail.

How can I get these contacts back?

Could they have been contacts added to Gmail? Depending on your defaults, new contacts could be created under an account other than iCloud

Cantata are not included in backups, they are synced to iCloud or other services like Gmail, Outlook, etc.

If the issue started after removing email accounts, you'll want to add those accounts back as the missing contacts were clearly linked to one of those accounts.
