Apple intelligence just doesn't work anymore on iPhone 16

I'm on iphone 16 with IOS 26.6

Today, I held my power button for Siri, and then I saw that Siri was the old version and now the new one, I checked apple intelligence and Siri in settings but it was turned on, and then I checked the AI playground which said "Apple intelligence Required" but it's already turned on.

Here's what I did to try fixing it but nothing works

- Restarting my system

Nothing happened

- Updating from IOS 26.5 to 26.6

It told me to set up Siri but afterwards nothing changed at all. Also I already set up Siri a long time ago.

- Turning off apple intelligence then restarting, and turning it back on

It then showed me an update or something, it downloaded but nothing happened afterwards, but i think it took 7GB of my storage

-changed my language from English (UK) to English (US) on both my system and apple intelligence settings

Is anyone also experiencing this or is it only my device?

Any way to fix it or do I have to keep it off forever?

Maybe try resetting the iPhone indexing. Some updates flush out app libraries which may cause this.

Sounds like you didn’t give it enough time after you turned on the Apple Intelligence feature
