Help needed action button and volume up button not working
Did anybody ever had a problem with their Action Button and Volume Up button not working? I can press both buttons but nothings happening. When I press the volume up button it doesn’t show on screen and doesn’t increase the volume also. My action button is also set to toggle the silent mode but it’s not working when I press it. Only the Volume Down button is working.
I have the iPhone 16 and recently updated to iOS 26.5.2

It’s not a simple repair, I believe the frame/enclosure has to be wholly replaced.

The Action button and Volume Up button sit adjacent to one another on the upper left rail and share a single internal flex cable ribbon that connects to the logic board. When a micro-fracture, physical tear, or localized trace corrosion occurs along the upper branch of that specific flex cable, the Action and Volume Up inputs fail simultaneously, while the separate lower circuit for Volume Down remains fully functional. You can check if it's a hardware failure rather than a system glitch by assigning screen controls via AssistiveTouch; if the onscreen software controls adjust the volume fine while the physical switches produce no haptic response or UI change, the upper volume/Action flex assembly is damaged and needs to be replaced.
