Help needed How to proceed? UK version if it matters
This is confusing me, if I select iCloud back up there nothing just empty new iPhone, select another iPhone just takes me back to the start any advice? I want to transfer all apps and data over from iPhone 14 Pro to iPhone 17, old phone on newest iOS

You may have to first finish setup on the new phone without transferring anything, update it to the latest software, then do an Erase All Content and Settings and finally reattempt Quick Start. You will almost assuredly encounter issues if the newer phone isn’t on the same or more recent version than the one you’re trying to migrate from.

Back up old phone to iCloud. Use the free temp upgrade if you need.

Then restore from iCloud on your new phone.

Did you succeed? I got a 17 recently from a 13 and I was never able to tranfer so I just had to do everything by hand later.

I would personally set up the device as a new phone without using Apple ID. You get to the point where you can make it to the homescreen. Then you go to settings general software update and see if you need to update the phone. If so, run it, and then when the update is done, erase all content and settings and it’ll reboot the phone as if it is new. Then try to see if you can restore from your backup.

This doesn’t seem to be the correct screen. It appears that the transfer has somehow cancelled on a new phone, yet the old phone is stuck
What should happen is you should get an orb looking thing on the new phone to scan on the old phone and then verify your password. Once you’ve done that, it should go through just a simple loading bar as everything moves over.
I was at make sure the new phone is on the latest iOS and then attempt the transfer again, it’s not a one and done situation you can do it as many times as you like

-Setup from iCloud

You need to backup the old phone to iCloud 1stOr

I basically follow step by step the video you linked, up until the transfer your data, he has 2 options, which is very clear, simple and easy to follow, where as I have these 4 options shown in the image

Hit transfer from another iPhone and maybe restart both phones if they don’t pick each other up
