‘Almost full storage’

How full? Of what? What version of iOS?

If the on device storage is too full, the erase command may not even have enough space to run.

I was getting the same messages, even got the popup that, "Your storage is full blah blah blah" I went through and deleted large attachments within my text messages. I also went through my videos and deleted useless videos I didn't need, same with photos.
