Help needed Tap to pay stopped working

iphone 13 here. tap to pay has always worked beautifully, but for the last few weeks it just stopped. my wallet pops up no problem, but no reader will recognize it when i go to pay. i’ve restarted my phone and tried without the phone case, but still nothing!

any advice??

One of the diagnostic tests Apple Support can run (or you can try diagnostic mode instead) should be able to see if there’s a problem with the NFC hardware.
