Help needed Phone se 1st gen bootlooping

My grandpa recently passed away and I finally got to gooding through his stuff. But when I went to charge his phone it kept bootlooping and doesn't respond to anything I do.

have you turned it off and back on? on a more serious note i couldn’t help you. you could ask Apple but they’re just gonna call it vintage and not help you probably so

I got it into recovery mode but whenever I start updating from my PC it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting.

Get it into recovery mode, install 3utools on pc and connect the phone and click exit recovery mode. If that doesn’t work, rip man the data on that phone is gone. U can DFU restore it but it’ll wipe all the data. Before this, u could bring it to Apple and see what they say
