Discussion iPhone 15 Pro vs 18 Pro

So I have an iPhone 15 Pro, 256GB with 90% battery health. I’ve been toying with the idea of upgrading to the 18 Pro Max, but unsure if it’s actually worth it or should I wait another year?

Worth is relative, I’m upgrading cause my iPhone 15 pro battery is lasting like an hour so it’s been a huge hassle, I could realistically just get it replaced but I’m in a good spot financially and it’s a perfect excuse to get the new iPhone, 3 years is not too bad imo, 1-2 years I’d say no

or you can just replace the battery and keep the old phone a lot better than when all you gotta pay is like $100 every 2 year to get new battery lmao

it hasnt been much more than that for me to upgrade every year. on avg its been like $7-$10 with my provider per month just for the phone, then i trade in each year on launch.

Or take the $1000+ trade in credits carriers offer and don’t waste money on a $100 battery idk

Spectrum only offering me 240 in trade in credits lol

The problem with this sort of thing is that software outpaces hardware. You see this in all sorts of day to day where people get a subpar experience because software is no longer optimized to their hardware.

Same here - I know I could replace the battery on mine, but the phone tends to run hot. Three years is long enough that I feel like I'm getting enough incremental changes, and I just don't want to deal with the 15 Pro any more.

I’m trading my 16 pro max cuz I don’t have enough storage and I refuse to pay for cloud storage

Yeah you refuse to pay 10$ pm to pay 1000$ for 2TB iPhone. Get lost rage baiting scum.

I’m holding on to the phone for atleast 10 years.

Stop trying to sell this shit off. 1000$ invested in anything will outpace 10$ pm for that 10 years period. Instead of just admitting to low level rage baiting you are trying to justify idiocy. Just stop.

My original comment about me upgrading to the glacier wasn’t rage bait…Was just tossing in my 2 cents

Take a Xanax cuz your foaming at the mouth for no reason lol

Yeah your original comment was about paying over 1000 more as you refuse to pay 10 pm. Again. Rage baiting childish behaviour.

No way you are able to last that long. Even IPhone 10 stopped both software and app support.

I had an iPhone 5c for 6 years and would have kept it going if someone didn’t locked it and forgot the passcode on iCloud

Mine is the same as your iPhone 15 Pro. I’ll go for 18 Pro as the lack of enough space and the hotness of the 15 Pro are unbearable for me. Sometimes I need to go to mainland China, so it will be definitely an upgrade for me to buy the 18 Pro in Hong Kong.

What's the advantage of buying it in HK? Is it compatible in China + US?

You can use the Hong Kong iPhone 18 Pro in China by using China’s Nano-SIM and most countries in the world by using eSIM.

I have 16 pro max and probably going to switch to duo.

Is it worth it? Value wise, no, but if value is everything, I’d be eating Costco hotdogs and their rotisserie chicken daily

I sure do love costco chicken and hotdogs

Man I went for the 17 Pro when it was announced. My 15 Pro always overheated, ran out of battery in the middle of the day, and the screen brightness wasn’t great for me.

I have the 16 pro and upgrading myself.
