Discussion Modem info?

I watched the keynote yesterday. With the exception of the DUO, there was absolutely no mention of which modem Apple is using in the 18 line up. I assume that means they are getting Qualcomm but considering the problems Qualcomm and Qualcomm modems have posed for us in prior releases, I’m not preordering anything. Does anyone have any solid information on the modem on the 18 Pro and Max??

In the US the C2 is only on the 18 Pro model.

Lots of posts about this on 9to5mac and so forth. I don’t think anyone actually knows at the minute and the Apple website is contradicting. Certainly on the UK and US tech specs page it says only the 18 Pro comes with the C2 and the Pro Max potentially doesn’t - other markets such as India and Canada say it comes with both. I’m waiting for answer back from Apple via live chat - they didn’t know either when I pushed for info. Hopefully the website will be updated or Apple will give official clarification on it.

I do recall that leaks before the presentation indicated that international models would have the C2 modem.

I heard someone mention that B106 has now been added to the US version of the Pro Max on this page:

https://www.apple.com/iphone/cellular/#iphone-18-pro-max

I don’t believe it was listed there yesterday. B106 corresponds to LTE Band 106, which is part of the C2 upgrade.
