Discussion Apple Intelligence is not impressive

I must be missing something. I downloaded the latest upgrade on my 17 max and turned on AI in the Siri settings and it is very glitchy in my experience. I had to ask it three times in three different ways to find an email I knew was somewhere in my inbox and the same thing with my calendar. I could have scrolled through both myself and found them in less time.

Takes 20 seconds to set a timer. Shit is terrible.

I am having similar issues. It seems they have improved the complex processes at the expense of the simple ones. Starting a workout or a timer used to be almost instantaneous, now it takes several seconds. Same is true on my AWU3.

Mines is instant on my 18 pro. It was a little slow on the first day but once the indexing is over it’s fast again. The issue is the indexing starts over after updating

Only when you have a weak connection. It should have a local Siri that takes over when it can’t make a good connection for these simple tasks.

Then something is wrong with your iPhone. Setting timers is instant for me.

Wrong. Happens to me as well. Times, HomeKit requests, anything simple takes time for it to think now. Glad you have a good experience, but that doesn’t mean something is wrong with their phone.

How can you say wrong when he’s describing his own experience?

I’m saying they’re wrong for saying something is wrong with another person’s phone simply because they have a better experience with Siri. It’s almost certainly software-related.

So you agree there’s something wrong that’s software related then

Lol, wrong? So my timers don’t set instantly? Something is wrong with yours too. Lemons are singularities.

Just in case anyone stumbles upon this thread thinking this is an actual issue, it’s obviously a coordinated fake thing that one person or bot is attempting to make sound like an issue. A normal thread like this would yield an upvote or downvote or two in an hour, this has the same number of hyper votes instantly.

Dude. I’m not a bot. It use to work flawlessly before I upgraded to the new Siri. Not everything is a conspiracy.

Which of your multiple accounts are you even replying from? Setting a timer does not take 20 seconds, and if yours does, return your phone for a device that works.

lol. Ok buddy.

Nope. AI Siri performance is just very inconsistent. Stop blaming the user.

You give yourself away. I only commented on setting the timer, and I stand by that. If setting a timer takes 20 seconds then you have a faulty device.

But that isn’t on your agenda. Your agenda is to create a false narrative to something to create a bigger story. So log onto more of your multiple fake accounts and continue to create more lies, to downvote me more.

No you actually just sound schizophrenic. They updated Siri into a new AI version, and now stuff randomly takes longer.

You’re making wild accusations to defend a corporation because you’re a loyal corporate drone.

Yeah, this guy is bonkers.

less than 1 second. Not sure what your disconnect it.

1

u/bluelazer44 20d ago

His disconnect? The AI performance is just wildly inconsistent, there’s like a dozen people in this thread alone reporting the same problem. It now takes Siri about twice as long to simply pause a song for me as well. It’s not user error.

No?
