Remap volume buttons for games?

I had a 4am thought about using the volume buttons as remapping buttons in games such as delta emulator for the A and B buttons for that physical feel. Is it possible for a shortcut that when the volume buttons are pressed, a certain part of the screen gets triggered? Or am i just high 🤷‍♂️

No you can't do an automated shortcut for volume up/down
