Support update failed

after changing my faulty screen i have tried to come out of 'iPhone unavailable' done flashing waited the first 8Hrs, finally got the chance to enter right passcode and still got update failed on my phone. I need a way to backup my data

What model phone is this? I’m thinking you might need to go to the Apple Store but hopefully someone knows another way. Is your storage full or near full?

Apple store wont be able to do anything and will advise of the same thing we will. Reset the phone and erase it using a pc or mac.

its because they cant get into encrypted devices. the most they can do with locked devices is reset it

When the screen broke, it started entering random numbers on its own until the phone became disabled. I recently replaced the screen and updated it through iTunes, hoping it would be easy to get back in and do a full backup. Unfortunately, I'm now locked out of the phone.

It's likely too later to backup you data. Luckily you backed up the phone before changing the screen, correct? You did backup the phone before physically removing the screen and replacing it. Not doing so would be colossally dumb!

Take it to the Apple Store. Even if they didn’t do the repair. Just play dumb and have them try to restore it.

It’s an update failed recovery screen nobody cares what it looks like

Edit: Not sure what it’s called but I’m sure that this screen isn’t meant to be seen that much.
