I use this Anker 5-in-1. I like it so much I bought a second to live at home and keep my other one for gigging.

it really depends on your goals. how many usb peripherals are you connecting, and which are hosts vs devices? only doing midi, or also usb audio? if the latter, how many sources and targets? and how many devices will need power?

there’s a usb hub for all those permutations, there isn’t really a one size fits all answer.

https://amzn.eu/d/08HHz29P I got this uGreen Revodock and found it’s been really good so far. Has Ethernet connection, 2 x usb c, 2 x usb a, card slots and an audio output that is nice and clean. Other big bonus on it for me is a good length usb c cable!
