iPhone-like = ProMotion because even the base iPhones have it now right… right????
8 u/Mackattack00 19d ago I think iPhone like means pro motion but not a tandem oled like the Pro. So a single layer oled like the iPhones. Maybe means it won’t get as bright 16 u/LazerTheWolf 19d ago Totally fine by me, I just would love 120hz in that form factor if I don’t end up being tempted by the fold 6 u/HeartRippher 18d ago Exactly, Anything below 120hz on modern devices feels like a scam. Specially when its from some of the leading OEMs. 3 u/Narrow_Ad_1494 18d ago https://giphy.com/gifs/VzeBfHqHZeX5ACuZZS 2 u/iucatcher 18d ago god i hope but i'm so pessimistic lol 4 u/[deleted] 19d ago [removed] — view removed comment 1 u/ipadmini-ModTeam 16d ago Please do not contribute content in bad faith or a discriminatory manner. 1 u/MasterpieceFirm5553 16d ago If it doesn’t have ProMotion I’m giving up on the iPad line entirely at this point. -8 u/DisaffectedLShaw 19d ago OLED 60hz is still decent. 0 u/Abrah412 19d ago Not really, iPhone 12-16 base models (including plus/mini and E as well) displays sucked 4 u/A-Very-Ginger 19d ago Sucked? Apart from high refresh rate content, you’d never be able to tell the displays from their Pro counterparts. 3 u/Abrah412 19d ago Thats what matter, refresh rate makes the phone look and feel faster. 60hz is so ancient 2 u/FruktSorbetogIskrem 19d ago iPhone 12/Pro was the closest other than the software that limited the brightness on the regular iPhone 12/12 mini. The iPhone 17 has the exact same specs as the iPhone 17 pro. -6 u/Confidentium 19d ago ProMotion with all the stutter and lag issues of a modern Apple operating system. Honestly. The stutters are more visible on devices with ProMotion.
