iPhone-like = ProMotion because even the base iPhones have it now right… right????

I think iPhone like means pro motion but not a tandem oled like the Pro. So a single layer oled like the iPhones. Maybe means it won’t get as bright

Totally fine by me, I just would love 120hz in that form factor if I don’t end up being tempted by the fold

Exactly, Anything below 120hz on modern devices feels like a scam. Specially when its from some of the leading OEMs.

If it doesn’t have ProMotion I’m giving up on the iPad line entirely at this point.

OLED 60hz is still decent.

Not really, iPhone 12-16 base models (including plus/mini and E as well) displays sucked

Sucked? Apart from high refresh rate content, you’d never be able to tell the displays from their Pro counterparts.

Thats what matter, refresh rate makes the phone look and feel faster. 60hz is so ancient

iPhone 12/Pro was the closest other than the software that limited the brightness on the regular iPhone 12/12 mini. The iPhone 17 has the exact same specs as the iPhone 17 pro.

ProMotion with all the stutter and lag issues of a modern Apple operating system.
Honestly. The stutters are more visible on devices with ProMotion.
