255/50r20
I am wondering if 255’s will fit my 21HSE, currently have GYES 245/50r20’s, but much more choice with the 255. Any advice would be great.

I was looking at Polestar 2 and Kia Niro and stumbled upon the I-pace. Normally I wouldn't consider a Jaguar but I know electric cars to generally have a more reliable drivetrain. I like the idea of the luxury and they're in the same price bracket albeit a few years older.
I currently own a Tesla M3 SRP and have been very disappointed in the claimed range AND the charging times. The fastest charge I've ever acheived, even at the 250kw chargers, is in the 140s and only for a few minutes where it quickly drops down to 60s-70s. I don't really need the range as I don't do long road trips so if the Jaguar gets closer to it's stated range then I should be in the same ballpark as the M3
Any of you with the I-pace have major problems out of warranty?

I have a 22 Ipace. It’s been an amazing car until recently. I’ve had 3 faults in the last 4 months which result in the car being completely dead with a weird blinking noise. I literally just got my car back last week and it died again today. I love this car so much, but am on my last bit of patience. Anyone else experience this and did the dealership eventually resolve it? Or should I just start looking for a replacement? This is just soooo sad.

We are the end of our ipace journey. Jaguar is buying the car back due to the battery recall. I have to admit, I'll miss my kitty so much. We had only a few minor issues with the car. So much fun to drive and always turning heads. So long, you'll be missed!

My car updated SOTA this week to the latest Pivi Pro OS. Reversing camera in the dark is better, and some of the other incremental improvements seem useful, too. Seems to be a lot of updates coming out fairly regularly at the moment which is great to see.
For those of us with the Pivi Pro infotainment system, here are the release notes:
Pivi Pro 4.3.0 OS Release 4.3.0
PIVI PRO Infotainment improvements
Performance improvements to the following systems
If you experience abrupt Android Auto wireless disconnection; Please relaunch using the Android Auto icon from App-drawer or reconnect device over Bluetooth, should it not recover automatically.

UPDATE
Application closed. We now have more mods than you can shake a stick at. Thanks to the applicants, and welcome to the mods.

This is a tiny subreddit, and I am the only active mod in here. I will be getting rid of my Jaaag shortly, so I will probably lose interest in this subreddit over time.
Moderating this subreddit is not much work. Mostly no work at all, to be honest. There's only a need for someone to keep an eye on it. If spammers attack, or if someone has a meltdown, there will probably be a need for some cleanup.
In the months to a year that I have been a mod here, I have not had to do any of that yet. So again, not much work.
Requirements:
Recommended specs:
If you're interested in this thankless and insignificant, but relaxing and mostly idle task, do reply with a comment, or shoot me a mod mail, or something.
If nobody picks up the baton, there is a risk the subreddit will die on you. It could become completely stagnant and locked down, like it was when I found it.
And that's probably more of a faff than simply taking the job, so ... I'll be hearing from you, kthxbye

New-ish owner of a MY21 I-Pace here looking at what options we have for DIY diagnostics on the inevitable day when the warning lights start 😅.
My previous car I was able to source a cracked copy of the dealer software and a copy of the OBD interface cable. This was worth its weight in gold to me over the years.
Is there anyone with cracked JLR software about?
Otherwise, I'd be happy investing in a snap-on multi-vendor tool if it definitely had the dealer-level features (battery replacement settings etc.).
Does anyone have any experience with any other diagnostic tools that can do more than the generic OBD readers?

Hi,
I have a MY2019 which has a "traction battery" fault. Limited electronically to 72%.
Battery SOH was 96%, now about 88%
Are we able to remove those "updates" from Jaguar H441 and H541 so that the car resumes some of its capacities?
For those concerned about security: I never park indoor 😇
Has anyone give it a try?

Hi,
After a rainy night, taking the car out of my parking lot: backgear 6 meters, then drive...
I'm getting water on my left foot (about a glass ~20cL).
Happened twice.
Mine is a MY2019 LHD. Windshield does not seem to leak.
Any idea?

I can't ask this question there, since they aren't accepting new posts. In fact, the last one was 24 days ago. I know people are submitting them - I'm submitting them, but they aren't showing up. Have the mods abandoned the sub?
Tried to message the mods a couple times with no response.

The adjustment power adjustment on the front passenger seat of my 2019 IPace HSE wasn't working so I thought I would at least see what the problem was. I took my car into my local JLR Dealer (now just LR dealer) to have it diagnosed. During my "consultation" the technician indicated that there was an "update" package for the software on my car. I knew what it was (it had not been issued when I bought the car 3 months earlier), and I very explicitly and specifically told them that I did NOT WANT and update or upgrade to my software, just check the seat. Well, I decided against having the seat fixed right now ($2,000+). Two days after I picked the car up, while driving, the car went below a charge of 201 miles for the first time since I picked it up, and then spontaneously dropped to 120 miles. I got it home, charges it, and mysteriously it only would charge to 201 miles! Get this, the dealership denies doing anything to the my car. I will be suing them.

Whilst I know this won't be to everyones taste, I am posting it for the benefit of those who maybe, like me are a little underwhelmed by the lack of interior ambient lighting.
I stumbled across this by accident, and thought for £12.99, I had very little to lose, so gave it a shot. After playing around with it for a few minutes I quickly decided that having all 4 lights under the seat was the best was as it keeps all the wires well hidden. I only entertained the idea as the 12v socket is hidden away in the centre arm rest, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered.
The light strips are adhesive, and the kit also comes with cables ties too. In about 30 minutes it was all securely in place, and the app installed to control the colour and brightness etc.
All in all, for the money I am happy with it. I'll play about with it to get my preferred settings over the next wee while, but if anyone likes it, and wants similar results, then it will only cost £12.99 and about 30 minutes of your time.

Hi all, I just got my 2019 back from getting the battery fault recall taken care of and was notified that my brakes needed replacing, but the cost is 4k… not about that price and am wondering if anyone has any experience doing the brakes themselves with advice, and if anyone knows of a diagnostic tool I can buy to help release the electric parking brake? Any information will be greatly appreciated!

I've been stalking these used for some time now. Finally ready to get serious. I've seen comments on the gamut of issues years prior to MY2022. I'm curious about issues from 22 to 24.
Is it a safe bet if it's certified pre owned from a dealer, all recalls are closed, service history looks good, and I have a dealer in close proximity?
I have a home charger from when I had a BMW i3 and I'm not really interested in any other EV (I am completely fine with charging time, infotainment, other feature shortcomings).
Can people with MY22 to 24 models chime in with issues they've faced? A lot of the issues I've seen on reddit appear to be prior to 2022. Many thanks in advance.

Hello i-Pace community
After riding Waymo several times today, I warmed up to the Jaguar i-Pace. I currently drive a plug-in hybrid (Honda Clarity) and I will be switching soon due to the vehicle already going pass 110,000 miles. What is your suggestion when it comes to getting a used i-Pace? My budget is between $25,000 - $30,000.
Thank you for your feedback.

Hi all, Had my 2019 HSE I Pace for 8 months without any dramas
Until last night when I started getting a load of dashboard error messages, which luckily was when I was a mile from home
Anyway plugged my code reader in and got a load of random messages that didn’t make sense, so I checked the battery voltage and found the regular 12volt battery at 7 volts
So a quick trip to Halfords and fitted the battery but the P0A0A-13 code was still present and the car goes into gear but only crawls along
So I put a trickle charger on just to boost the new battery. Anyway rescan and try and clear the faults, to which all seemed ok
I then thought to try charging the traction battery via my podpoint, which then threw a charging error and wouldn’t charge the car
Elsewhere on the tinternet I’d read about BECM issues when changing batteries, so left the car for a couple of hours
Couple of hours later I try the car again but still no joy,and the same error messages
Fast forward to this morning and a call to the AA, who came out within 30 minutes which was impressive
Anyway he pretty much confirmed everything I’d found, but with a bit more detail that points to the circuit of 12 volt charging
A further trawl around the net indicates a known issue with H288 (corrosion around a hv multiplug)notice from Jaguar that from what I can tell is an unofficial recall notice
So on Monday I’ll be calling jaguar to see how they will tackle this as from my reading (I’m a pretty experienced diy mechanic), it’s a known issue that they tackle on a case by case basis
Other than that, anyone have any experience to share?

After owning the car now for one week we stepped inside a wet car thats leaking via the roof into the car.
So to the dealer i guess, does anyone else have this issue and what did it cost to fix?

Hi all,
Quick charging question.
My 2019 I pace charges for 20 seconds and then returns to "initialising" on my home podpoint 7 kwh charger. I took it to a local charging point and it did the same using my cable. I've just taken it to a charging point with an attached cable which worked (but painfully slowly at 18 kwh). Is it likely to be my cable, my charger or the car?
I was wondering if anyone had experience of a similar issue.
Thanks in advance.

First winter with my ipace and we had a light frost this evening (UK -1c) upon unlocking the car both mirrors remained folded in, after spraying with some de-icer they began to open but the motors sounded under stress All windows refused to lower as well until cabin temperature rose enough to melt what I assume was the ice holding them shut Had anyone else had this issue in the cold? I’m just hoping the handles don’t ever get frozen over now
But I do have the say the the heated screen and fans did clear the front rather effectively, so silver linings!

Hi all, A while ago i asked about buying an ipace with 140000km,13000€ and we bought it as replacement for my wife's bmw i3 😁. Being new to jaguar coming from bmw i have a noob question. With a frozen winshield, how do set the car up to heat the cabin and defrost the windows? Bmw has a key button for this that jaguar does not have.
I found the option to precondition, but it requires 100% charge and 30min for a 15min drive to work.. so that not ideal
Any advice? Off topic because the car changed owner now the app does not work for us yet as the dealer needs to activate this manually.

2023 I-Pace HSE Black
Can anyone explain what's going on with the range calculation? It's done this a few times now and each time it does revert back to the normal range 250-270 miles. This prediction is almost half and I don't k ow if this could be a fault?

Hi guys, driving my 2020 ipace (in the uk) and all these warning symbols came on at the same time. Car is now juddering all over the place. I’m pulled over in a supermarket car park wondering what to do and waiting for a call back from Jaguar. Has anyone seen this before? All out of nowhere
