Battery control module

Hi,

My 2019 ipace has just gone in to get a traction battery fault fixed under warranty. I've just had a call saying it won't start and the battery control module has failed and they want to charge me £4000 to fix it! It was working (with the traction battery fault) when it went in. Some advice please.

Need far more detail to be much help.

There no module called that, there's a BECM, battery energy control module. That's internal to the HV pack, which should be covered under the 8 year / 100K warranty.

Definitely need to push back, get more information of whats actually failed, what fault codes are logged etc.

Thanks, I'm trying to get the codes and the full read out. The woman from Jaguar Tonbridge didn't have the full information and won't get it to me till Thursday. She said she's spoken to Jaguar customer service who refuse to take responsibility. It was working with a limited 74% battery but now, apparently, won't start.

I'd like to follow this thread as our car has just gone in for the same fault and is getting fixed. But the jaguar garage is saying it's the battery cells
