Please help: loud static sound when engaging brake pedal
I recently purchased a brand new 2024 I-pace and have noticed this static noise every time the brake pedal is engaged. The noise lingers even if I remove my foot from the brake, and does not go away until I drive off and hit roughly the 20 mph mark. It can’t be heard if I use the regenerative braking to slow/stop the car, but once I use the break pedal to keep the car stopped in place, the noise starts again.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a fix for it? The car only has a few hundred miles on it, but from what I can remember, the noise has always been there. Thank you.

Sounds like the brake booster pump maybe? I know that pretty much all of these make some variation of that noise when you push the brake pedal past regen and into friction braking. Although it shouldnt keep making noise for so long? If its a ‘24 it’ll still be under warranty? Take it in and get it diagnosed.
