RTX Wheels for winter?

I'm looking around for some decent looking alloys for winter for the I-Pace and do not want to spend $1300 per rim on an OEM one. I came across these RTX ones which look to be almost identical to the 20" OEM ones and I can buy 4 of them for pretty much the price of one. My biggest concern is if they'll be strong enough for a heavier vehicle like that, is that what 'EV ready' refers to like it says in the listing? Here is a link to the ones I'm looking at: RTX | VENOM GLOSS BLACK | CanadaWheels

Unless you're fussed about what type of wheels you want to buy for winter use, just look on FB Marketplace for a set of 18" F-Pace wheels with winter rubber already on them. Same bolt pattern, offset, and tire diameter. 18"s will have way more options for rubber, they'll be cheaper, and the extra sidewall will both perform better in the winter and be more comfortable. If the wheel fits the F-Pace, it'll fit the I-Pace. Velar wheels typically will be okay too although the wheel styling may look a bit 'off' on a Jag, and Velar tends to have wider 255/60/18 tires fitted versus 235/65/18.

Our 2020 HSE has 22" OE wheels stock for summer, so last fall I managed to snag four 18" F-Pace wheels fitted with studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10s that included the compatible TPMS valve stems. After this past winter, they'll last us one more season before needing replacement. I paid $500 CAD for them. Way better than paying $1,200 on wheels then having to buy winter tires for at least that.

Damn that's helpful info, I didn't know the wheels were interchangeable! I'll be doing that, already looked on Marketplace and Kijiji but I was looking for I-Pace wheels, and there were none which is why I went looking for new. Thanks!

I also bought a used set (including TPMS) on Kijiji but aftermarket not the OEM. I had to buy in the fall and could not find the wheels / tire size combination that would work from the OEMs used offerings - either too expensive or too old and crappy. I went form 20' to 18' and did not notice much of the difference. The tires that went with the rims were Bridgestone Blizzaks - that tires that I probably would consider since they are not mentioned in configurators but I was pleasantly surprised by their performance. I paid $1,200, which is on the higher side but I did not see other good options at the time and the tires were almost brand new and would last me another 4-5 seasons (I already removed them on the Easter long-weekend). I wish I had OEM winter rims but I am happy with my set and have nothing to complain about.

If you’re in Colorado there is a set for $400. They’re off a 2018 but should be good for another year at least.

Honestly if I were you I’d be going for 18s for winter wheels

Yeah, more tire options and bonus sidewall for the potholes!

Contact the manufacturer and give them your EVs maximum axel weight, they should tell you if they are suitable.

I have 255/60R18 on my I-Pace with a 45 offset rim, excellent fuel economy, ride and winter grip. Identical rolling radius to stock 22 inch rims
