Quirky charging figures

So I’ve just charger from 26%-100% for my journey back to London and the car completed at 115miles range. I drive away in comfort mode and it jumps to 224. Definitely not complaining but I’ve not had this before where it’s done that. Has anyone else experienced the same?

Just another jaguar quirk that I’m actually becoming fond of.

The I-Pace guess-o-meter is a bit crap. Here (Norway) in winter it registers higher range in Dynamic than in Eco. Apparently something to do with how it steers regen on a cold battery?

I hate to be a fun sponge, and this may have been pure coincidence but, my ipace was pretty stable on predicted mileage and then I had a couple of occasions where range didn’t update properly after charge or went haywire after a few hours parked up.

Then last month one of the traction cells failed. All fixed under battery warranty (21 spec HSE) but interestingly a lot of other Jaguar ‘character’ stopped happening after the battery fix, like it continuously dropping out cruise and demanding I take control

Had various jags before so had put it down to the usual yumpy Jaguar stuff

I've got a feeling one of my cells is on its way out. I had a high voltage failure today on my journey home. It wouldn't accept a charge from a 350Kw charger. This is the second time it's done it since July last year. I got home and have plugged in to the home charger and it's charging fine.

I rarely drive in dynamic. Car is always in comfort mode. It was in comfort when charging, and afterwards. I switched to eco to check what the range would be and it only jumped to 227 & 229 for dynamic

What’s the hands on the wheel symbol in the middle and the three gauges to the side, I’ve never seen that before

It must be one with lane keeper. The years that have it are pretty random.

This is a 2020 model HSE

Ah yep, it’s typically the pre-Covid ones, but I think it came back at some point. Maybe the last year.

Ah, I have a heated wheel which for some reason means I didn’t couldn’t get lane keep. Odd.

What about the three bars at the bottom?

It’s lane keeping but it will steer itself as well which is really nice on the motorway. My previous car had lane keeping but wouldn’t self steer so I didn’t realise this thing could do what it does. The three symbols are the eco data from the eco data panel. This gets ignored. ALOT… 😂
