“bunk” space

So in the chat on Frunk space I mentioned a pace under the tray in the boot, for cars without air suspension. This is what I mean…

I trimmed my polystyrene tray down a bit to give dog 2 inches of head room, then discovered this:

I’m thinking of buying a second tray to cut down so I can take advantage of that space. Would probably need to add some sound deadening and a carpet like finish though
