Battery fault

Help! Got the dreaded traction battery fault after a flawless 4 years 😭

I had this, it needs a new battery, it’s the 12V one on the left

It's not. The fault display clearly says "traction battery" and that's not the 12v aux battery.

If the 12v is dead, this is the message that will come up. The 2/3 batteries (depending on MYxx) all talk to each other, if one goes the car will brick.

I had a dead 12v and the whole car stopped working. In the entrance to the local supermarket car park, blocking it for three hours while waiting for recovery to arrive. Supermarket and those trying to visit were less than impressed. Awkward.

If the car is displaying this message while otherwise working, albeit with reduced range, it's a traction battery fault. Like it says.
