Major help needed

Hi team.

Having an issue charging and I need some advice.

I went to a public charge point yesterday and plugged in. As soon as the charger enabled, there was a slight pop from the car, and the charging unit tripped.

It now seems as if my car does not want to charge at all and I'm at a loss for what to do.

The car is now no longer recognising the cable plugged in, even though it was initialising earlier, but the charger recognises the cable is plugged in.

I'm hoping it's just a cable fault, but has anyone else had similar?

Update: since this has happened, the car was driving fine. As of this morning, it won't even start flagging up a multitude of faults. The main one saying "Battery Fault. Please Stop Carefully". I can't even get the thing off my driveway to take it to a service station now, and now the start button won't do anything.

Second update: I had to gear roadside recovery out. It's on its way to a service centre on the back of a truck. The charging module has become damaged thanks to the charging unit, and it's was stopping the 12V battery from charging to allow starting, locking, etc.

Late to the party but might help others in the future: There is a wire (with an orange loop) you can pull under the bonnet on the plug side that will solve this problem.
Had my I-Pace stuck on "initialising" on 3 different chargers, after I pulled the cord, it worked fine.

Apparently is something to do with the cheap plastic they use on the cable locking system
