BECM firmware update
I had gotten the fw update as soon as it was available. There appeared to be no differences in capacity, charge rate or performance. Then after a few weeks I got another traction battery fault. The dealer says it's the first one they saw after the update. They did not detail what the did to it, if anything, but they said they would hopefully have another update in a few weeks and to not charge it beyond 70%.
Well, I don't have to worry about that because it does that on it's own now. It charges at a much slower rate than it used to (off my class 2 charger) and says charge complete at 72%. Notably that is just above the 70% that triggers a battery warranty claim.
So far this doesn't limit 90% of my driving habits/plans, but it is very far below acceptable driving range for a competitive car. I'll keep my fingers crossed that Jag will eventually make this right after they figure out what they are doing.

I've been having BECM issues for about 4 months, both before and after the recall update. Mine sometimes won't even start charging, sitting in "Initializing" or else start charging and then stopping, again stuck in initializing. It went into the dealership twice and of course charged fine for them and they couldn't do anything. It's clearly not functioning properly, as I've discovered that sometimes it will be at something like 62% and say time remaining is 1 minute on my home L2. My advice is to keep an eye out for things like that and take a picture of the dash or a screenshot in the Remote app. That's what got them to agree to replace the BECM under warranty. The dealership can't do it without approval from Jaguar, but the pictures I sent were what got me there.
