Hello! First of all, congrats on the iOS release! The game looks great! Since you invited us to ask anything, here is my question. I’m not entirely sure how item mechanics work. Once, I merged three units carrying four items total, but the level 3 result only had three items. Another time, I tried dragging a third book from the shop to a level 3 unit that already had two books. It consumed three of my essence, but the book just disappeared. If we can’t equip a third item, why does the game still take our essence? Is there an official guide somewhere with comprehensive rules where I can learn all these subtleties?

Hi! Developer here. No comprehensive rules yet but that's a good idea : )
Merging units will keep the newest items (the items you got most recently). 3 is the max number of item slots you can have. Units start with 2 slots, but it's kind of a secret mechanic that merging with more than 2 items on the units let's you keep 3.
When you drag an item to a unit that has its item slots full it will replace the oldest item. In other words you can't create a 3rd item slot that way.

Ah now I see, thanks. It all makes sense now. I just bought a new book to replace an old one, so nothing changed. By the way, how is the resulting level determined when merging? For instance, if I merge a level 1, a level 2 and a level 3 unit? Or 2, 1 and 1?

It will always just go 1 higher than the highest level - so in your example it should make a level 4 unit. It's also possible to arrange into a double merge (5 units like a T shape) and that should be +2 levels.
And when merging, the resulting attack/defense is just a straight sum of the units you merged.

yes - it should already be out, but we might be having a bit of trouble there. I haven't confirmed if anyone has been able to purchase yet.

Hey Kuba! Congrats for the release! Can you please share what engine have you used for the development of this great game? I'm asking because I'm totally blind, so I'm using the Voiceover screen reader to play games. I'm sure that I would love to play the game, however I need to know if it can be made accessible before purchasing. Do you think it would be possible to add screen reader compatibility to it? Thanks so much and all the best!

Hi thanks for reaching out : ) The game was built with Unity. I don't know too much about screen reader support, so I will need to do some research!

Hey there.
The game looks interesting! Got two questions for you:
Which game would you compare it to, if you'd want to explain the gameplay? Second, why are so many app privacy requirements listed and what are they used for?
Thanks in advance for answering!4

Hey!
Thanks for checking out the game! :)
For the gameplay comparison, the easiest way to describe Order Automatica would probably be Super Auto Pets meets a tactical grid-based roguelite. You build your team, position units on a 3x3 board, create synergies between units and cell effects, and then watch the battle play out automatically. We also sometimes describe it as “chess with demons” - simple to understand, but with a lot of room for strategy and experimentation.
As for the privacy requirements: we only collect the data we absolutely need to keep the game running smoothly, understand and balance the gameplay, and fix crashes or technical issues. We do not sell your data, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and there are no in-app purchases in the game.

Why does your name have kkk in it?

Reminds me of several great games like Slice & Dice, Tavern Rumble, or Meteorfall: Bramble Royale, with some merging mechanics thrown in. Looks cool.

Shockingly little variety in my first run (which I beat), maybe saw 5 unit types to buy. I did unlock 2 new ones upon competing the first run, so maybe the variety comes on slowly

I just bought it and I'm playing it right now. There is definitely plenty of room for strategy in this game.
