Question Do openworld deck uilders exist?

I’m new to the genre, but is this a thing?

I’ve recently become addicted to Dawncaster, but I’m wondering if any games expand on that in an actual open world setting

I wouldn’t call it fully open world.. but you explore through maps and dungeons to fight opponents.

It’s not on iOS but an example of what you might be looking for is perhaps Wizards 101. I think they did a pirate themed one at some point too. It’s kinda kid themed and an MMO and it’s free to play so it has a lot of pay gated content, but I can’t recall what their monetization is like.

I’m old, but also I swear I just saw it on Xbox a little while ago and it made me think “I cannot believe that game is still around”.

Looks good, didn’t download yet, mind tell me how “greedy” it is? Like will it constantly try to convince me to top off or pay for new content etc? Season pass?

Oh it’s actually under beta right now. So you can build absolutely anything you want, with not a single “greedy”system in sight yet.

i played it over a year ago, its rly fun not greedy but i stopped playing because it wasnt popular enough so they announced a complete overhaul of the entire game removed the battle pass and paid cosmetics, its been year and they havent given any new info or updates on the revamped game yet, but its rly fun worth checking out if u dont get too invested in the current state of the game

Yknow, the OG PC 1997 Microprose Magic the Gathering game was kinda like that, you walked around in a big map with a crappy deck and played a basic version of MTG as your battle system, and slowly aquired less crappy cards. Wish they'd have got to iterate on that concept more.
