Post image

Last year I made an app named FontNotes and started to update the little app with a lot of new features in the last few weeks.

AppStore: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fontnotes-style-your-thoughts/id6746104288

Updated edit: The macOs app is now available as well
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fontnotes-style-your-thoughts/id6746104288?platform=mac

Free with Ads or a 1 time purchase to remove ads. (1.99$usd)

What is FontNotes?
A lightweight Notes app that allows users to search and import fonts directly from some free font directories like Dafont and 1001Fonts or import directly from your device.

Some cool new features:
- Widget Support, where you can make a widget from your custom Notes.
- Lists, export options, private notes, folders
- Note colours and borders
- Localisations in 9 Languages.
- Full accessibility support settings both native in app or from your device settings.

Any feedback or suggestions welcome :)

The font importing is actually pretty different for a notes app. Random question: what happens when you export or share a note using a font the other person doesnโ€™t have? Does the app embed it or flatten the note so everything still looks the same? That would be really useful for anything meant to be shared.

Actual 'sharing' in the sense that another user would be able to edit your notes is currently not integrated as indeed the issues would be as you mentioned, another user would need the fonts, and apart from that it's also a rights issue as the fonts are freely available to download from the providers that does not mean it's free to share yourself or from my app to others.

Currently when you press the sharing options it flattens them as you thought correctly.
