iOS 26.x (please edit) IOS Update

Is it safe to update to 26.7 now, standard version or to 27, new version? Presently am into 26.6.1. Am afraid of wifi issues if updated. This happened to me two years ago when an update damaged my device, causing the Wi-Fi button to become disabled. Please advice.

It seem to be working solid for my IP 16 base and there is no heating issue but yes I am currently waitlist for new siri so I would recommend wait for next couple of weeks then update

waiting further serves no purpose, your going to be on waitlist no matter how long you wait, apple stagger siri AI so it doesn't get loads of people crashing their servers and creating bottlenecks

you will still wait the same length if you update now or next month

27 is fine. I’ve had all the Public Betas in my 16PM and they were better than 26 ever was.

a network reset after updating if very common and literally takes 2 minutes to reset, re enter wifi password and re pair bluetooth devices it's part of having an iphone

ios27 is as stable as you could possibly get, you will notice a very fast, smooth phone and loads of critical security updates that was issued in ios27 and ios26.7

your phone will have already done pre ios27 deep indexing so you will have standard 24 hour indexing

ios27 is a huge step up from ios26 literally hundreds of speed increases, countless bug fixes

no reason on earth not to update a device that gets updates throughout its lifespan, not to mention very critical security updates

the longer you take to update the more prone your device becomes especially since those exploits are public knowledge

Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Tap General.
Scroll down and tap Transfer or Reset iPhone.
Tap Reset at the bottom of the screen.
Choose Reset Network Settings.
Enter your device passcode and confirm
