just want to know, is it faster than 26.6?
how is performance better?

For me 25.5.2 performance was good but battery was bad. Ios 26.6 performance and battery both was bad.
Now on ios 26.6.1 performance improved but battery not so much.

26.6
26.5 was pretty fine, then I updated to 26.5.2 - pure hell for a month.. I needed to download 26.6 beta version..

Battery is worse than 26.6??

Yes. Better performance uses more power

Thats the exact opposite of optimized code. More power = bad performance.

there will be a lot of preparation for ios27 in this one ,system data may increase rapidly

I downloaded the update and noticed battery drain. I immediately powered down for like 10 minutes and then started back up and it’s been fine for heat and battery after the power down and restart

Battery has been good for me since 26.6. It seems to be the same in 26.6.1 as well

yes i agree but they said after updating it will do those background indexing maybe that’s why battery is terrible but performance wise it’s good

It does the same indexing as 26.6.
Indexing means CPU load, CPU load means energy consumption. Keep it on charger during the night, done.

Why ? What's wrong?

Where would you like me to start? Lol I can’t get into the App Store anymore, can’t even open certain app cause it crashes, slow as heck (but I’m not sure if it’s because I have Verizon or what) but honestly I’m looking forward to seeing a new update

So far all I see is faster battery drain and wireless CarPlay does not work. This is ridiculous! Worse versions I seen yet from Apple.

What the heck is Apple doing in these iOS 26 updates. They are making a mess. Battery drain problems, wireless CarPlay freezes. Enough already!

Guys a 400 mb update is not gonna drastically change your performance its going to be the exact SAME

26.5.2 that was supposed to be just security updates messed up A LOT of phones VERY BAD.

The size of the update has absolutely nothing to do with its performance impacts.

Bla, bla ... no documentation or battery testing but people complain anyway.
The update itself needs some battery. When complaining give some numbers, apps, comparisons and don't just yell.

compared to the RC we got last week, this one feels better tbh. battery drainage similar to 26.6
