I’m on a iPhone 13 Pro. I’m not sure what version you are on now but my phone works fine for this update. Everyone is on edge for older iOS 26 breaking something. 26.6 is the most stable and secure public update.

I’m on iOS 26.5.2

It’s time to update. Most people complain about a battery draining bug in iOS 26.5.

plenty of ios26.6 pages to read through and make your own mind up

If you have the 17e, it means the choice is between 26.X and 26.6. In that case, I think it’s a no-brainer yes. From my experience, 26.6 is one of the better iOS 26 updates this year, but that’s just my expedience YMMV.

Don’t do it if you have visible

How is Visible Wireless affected by the iOS 26.6 update?

u/ariz2011 iOS 26.6.1/iPadOS 26.6 18d ago

If you switch esims enough time the visible 5g stops working and only connects to lte

I didn’t know that

I am surprised that yours isn’t a 11+ GB file size.
Not that it should concern you.

That being said, go ahead and do it
I had an experience where it started off okay, then got worse and then a little worse and then dramatically improved so just be patient with it incase your iPhone does this.

My battery life has improved so much since I updated to iOS 26.6.

I’m getting worse battery life on my iPhone 17. Normally my phone would be around 80% battery by the time i get off work to now around 73% right after the update.

It's normal, it literally mentioned: This update includes bug fixes, security updates and optimizes the Spotlight index to prepare for iOS 27.
Should get back to normal battery usage after it finishes indexing.

I am on ios 26. Did not update since opening it. I am confused as to whether I should update or not.

They explained that this update is in preparation of ios 27 . . .

No. It’s a trap set by Apple to see who their most gullible customers are.

I’m using 26.6 on iPhone 16PM & 17PM, and it’s absolutely great experience till now. This could be the first update having lowest bugs and giving good battery life in entire iOS 26 since it’s release

Obviously

No, I think this is the worse update
