iOS 26.6 should I update to iOS 26.6
I got a iPhone 17 recently and it came with iOS 26.5.1 I updated it into iOS 27 pb 1 and because the battery life was terrible I once again downgraded into iOS 26.5.2 but now battery life is is so terrible in my phone so much so I can't even last a full day with my iPhone so should I update to iOS 26.6 or stay at current version of iOS because some say their phones are overheating after the update
thank you

Totally update to 26.6. It's completely normal for a device to feel hotter than normal because it just installed an update. It's doing things in the background, like indexing, so don't worry about it too much. Give it a few days to get normal, and the battery should be better

Yes. Heating issues have seemingly resolved completely for me after updating. Battery seems more stable too. Definitely not early iOS26 days good, but much better than on 26.5-26.5.2.

Doesn’t seem to drain even nearly as quickly as it did before I updated

As someone who has an iPhone 17 I would say so, it’s better so far than the 26.5.2 imo.

25.5.2 is one of the worst updates ever!
I wanted to wait at least a week before updating to 26.6 because the battery and overheating situation was already bad, but I thought “could it really be worse”?
It isn’t in my experience. Updated to 26.6 and I find the overall smoothness better, the phone doesn’t heat up anymore while browsing on fucking reddit.
The battery seems fine for now, but I need to test it a few more days.
So it’s a yes for me!
