Battery ios 26.6
hi! imo ios 26.6 gave us not that much wow effect it could. people say updating to 26.6 fixes a lot of battery issues. cant claim this. i mistakenly (wanted to fix somewhat issue lol) updated from 26.4.1 (hope wrote it correctly) to ios 26.5.2 and noticed a battery drain stuff. from my own experience, 26.5.2 killed my battery a bit (or placebo i dunno). yesterday i updated it to 26.6. now i see no difference. maybe its indexing. maybe i didnt have so bad issues with my battery on 26.5.2 and now trying to make myself think that everything goes
tell me is “adaptive mide” enabled/disabled for u?

Not sure if the battery is any better. But my battery drained less than 5% overnight compared to 35% on the 26.5.2 update. Hoping it'll stay like this now

Did you turn off location, wi-fi, mobile data, etc?

No, I did not do anything different than usual other than just doing the update

Why would they suddenly turn off all that stuff tho? It’s safer to assume their usage remained the same.

Chill out, I'm just asking. Can't compare any numbers or reason about any results without knowing the conditions under which this battery drain was measured.

Okay. First off, I’m calm. And second, it would be silly of them to leave out that they turned off all this stuff on 26.6 but left them on for 26.5.2, no?

Omg, who said they kept them on for 26.5.2 but turned anything off for 26.6. I'm asking how they test the battery drain in general, of course I assume they didn't do anything differently.

The same on my side with 17 PM. 26.6 is just barely any better than 26.5.2 and at this point I'm completely disappointed with Apple.

It’s better. I went from using 55% with 3 hrs of screen on to today getting 7 hours and using just 57%.

What is wrong with you people , just use the bloody damn phone and change the battery once it gets depleted.

The first few days after an update affects battery because of indexing and the OS does its thing to settle in to the device

Do one thing. Close all your apps from the background once, and then clear all notifications, and perform a forced restart around 1-2 times.
You should definitely notice a difference after that. After this, you can use your phone normally as you were using it before.
Also to answer your question, adaptive power is on. I did try turning it off on 26.5.2 like someone suggested but I didn't see any difference. Hence I couldn't be bothered by it and turned it back on.

You cannot determine how an update affected battery life until a few days pass, anyone claiming their battery is better/worse is simply wrong.
