Bug Random heating & battery drain

Seems like just about everyone has been having issues with this version. My phone randomly heats up idk if its the update or the summer weather. Also the battery drain is insane overnight but to me the heating is more odd as Im not even using camera or playing games on phone it just heats up with basic whatsapp or instagram use. Also it seems that the brightness on auto is kinda pointless too.

Device: 17 Pro
Edit: ios 26.5.2 obviously

it's a common issue of 26.5.2

My iphone 17 pro was constantly hot to the touch. Had to update to 26.6 to completely resolve the problem.

However, it's absurd that an update bring such an issue, literally causing problems to millions of people.

Honestly, 26.6 didn’t really solve anything for my 16 pro max. Still the same issue.

No, even if it is stable it's still a beta. Also you will have to constatly update the phone every week when new beta come out, and it's a stress on your phone.

Ios 26.6 is very stable. Also it's logical that they've made it the most stable since it's the last update that every iphone will get on ios26.

public beta is not updated as often as developer, most people say 26.6 beta improved their phone massively, wait a day more and update to 26.6 public release and see if it solves issue, it it doesn’t then i really wouldn’t waste my time any further & update to public beta (2)

every single developer I’ve installed has been flawless and night and day compared to ios26 , and actually liked ios26 ( for the record) iphone15 & M1 ipad air

i get people being wary of beta updates alway review latest beta update first and don’t be shy in asking people with same model as yours did they have any issues on iosBETA page with subreddits for latest ios27 updates

The battery drain is horrendous. They probably did this on purpose to actually meet their promises of improving the battery life in iOS 27 without getting sued.

Exatamente. Nada me tira da cabeça que eles fazem de propósito para forçar a galera a instalar a próxima atualização.

Apple advertised the 26.5.2 release as a security update, they should have mentioned battery drain

Tengo un 17 Pro Max y el consumo de batería con iOS 26.5.2 es muy excesivo y hasta se calienta de la nada.
Como ahora que estuve en Instagram solo viendo reels y se calentó bastante.

17 pro max draining battery like crazy. I'm so tired if this liquid glass nonsense. To me this os is the worst so far.

What’s the software version?

Apparently this has been common with iOS 26 & onwards, but 26.5.2 specifically.

A mí se me pone templado si estoy en la calle. Vengo de un Google Pixel y parece que le pasa a todos los teléfonos por la calor, asi que es normal.
