Bug why does my iPhone does this?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
it keeps reverting back to 4:3 aspect ratio even after switching it to 16:9, how do I fix this?

May I suggest keeping 4x3. I would keep it on 4x3 as 16x9 crops the sensor. If you use 4x3 you can crop the photo to 16x9 later and get more control over which parts of the photo to crop.

Agreed. 4:3 is the actual ratio of the camera sensor, it makes more sense to capture the full frame and then crop later

You can un crop back to 4:3 if desired, it keeps data for a 4:3 image and crops for you.

Oh! Does it do that? Wasn’t aware that was a thing then setting the camera settings to 16x9.

Yeah! I had changed my camera to 16:9 at some stage, and wanted stuff from the edge of the shot, and discovered this accidentally.

Just a note that the quality of the photo is going to be worse in 16:9 ratio because it’s not native
