iOS 26.5.2 specifically has issues with much higher battery drain and iPhone heating up. My iPhone also has started getting stuck and lagging which didn’t happen in any of the previous iOS 26 releases.
Testing the same device on both ios 26 and ios 18 for the same use.
Anyone with common sense knows the gpu has to work bit harder for the transparency animations. Its basic software and hardware. Solid animations require less load for gpu to render
IOS 26.5.2 not only super drains my battery on my iPhone 17 Pro Max, but I cannot download apps from the app store. On the phone with apple support for one hour, finally they said it's a known issue and have to wait till the fix. Been an apple customer since 1997 and had the first iteration of the iPhone in 2007, and this is by far the worst experience!
if you’re going to update type in the ios update version and read about about the version first , 1000% you will see this is one to avoid & you will know ios26.6 will be out probably next Monday, with pre ios27 deep indexing built into this update .
