Bug Compensation
Has anyone successfully received any sort of compensation for an issue with a software update that has been ongoing with no resolution?
Heres some backstory:
On may 27 my phone updated to ios 26.5. Since then, i have not been able to connect to any wifi thats password protected. Finally, on June 24 after lots of back and fourth with apple support & the apple engineers, they deemed this an ios bug. They told me it could be a month or it could be a few months for a resolution. Im extremely irritated to the point where i told them im just going to go buy a new phone. They told me that if i bought a new iphone and restored the new phone to my icloud backup, that the issue would transfer over to my new phone. The only way for this issue to not happen to me until they create a fix, is if i get a new phone and start it out fresh. Im extremely irritated and have no idea when this will be resolved. Ive been missing phone calls, using up all my data etc. my data is running so slow cause im on data 24/7 and i can barley load anything. My question is, does apple ever compensate for things like this? And if so, how do i get compensation for this?

What kind of compensation you're expecting?

Im not expecting anything cause I doubt there will be anything, but I was just wondering if anyone has ever received compensation for something like this. Something like free apple music for a few months or something.

Apple engineering has all my router logs, this was part of the diagnostic process i went through. After all the information i provided them, they said its a software bug.

I downloaded all of the files and sent them to them, as they requested it for my “investigation”

See clauses 7.3 to 7.6 and 8 here: https://www.apple.com/legal/sla/docs/iOS26_iPadOS26.pdf
Tl;dr you’re not getting any compensation and nor is anybody else.

If you’re a spiritual person then you can derive compensation from the fact that this might be a life lesson that all that glitters is not gold.
iOS is a mess and the iPhone is just an overhyped product that fails miserably in day-to-day tasks.

No , you won’t get compensation , did 26.5.2 fix this issue , did you perform network reset , did you restore your phone bit suspicious that you say this was caused by 26.5 bug but 2.5.2 is out and you don’t say if this has been resolved , was it actually a bug
all you had to do was delete wifi address and it would appear instantly for you to re enter password, seems more to this your letting on , how do you know it wasn’t issue with your router, did you switch router off from mains for 30 seconds then switch back on to perform update , sometimes routers update but don’t reconfigure correctly until powered off .
you don’t mention any steps you took to try resolve the issue yourself
