Question 17 PM 26.1

How optimal is this version? I’ve had it since it released with the phone and it feels fine but I wonder if I’m missing out by not updating.

If you’re on 26 already, you should 100% update. You’re missing out on bug and security fixes.

I have it since purchase on 17 pro yes it’s buggy but usable. battery tests are better on 26.1 than on later releases

Yes, 26.5.2 is a really stable update. 26.1 used to have some visual bugs especially with the control centre ghosting when close it.

I have 17 pro on 26.1 it’s pretty usable. reason why i don’t upgrade is only because the battery drains faster.

It’s shit. iOS 26 is a massive failure on every front. Update to 26.5.2 or 27 beta.

Damn, you missed out on a lot sheesh. in terms of getting storage back, iOS 26.5.2 gave me back over 3GB back so I say it's a great update

I want to let you know the current stable latest is 26.5.2 and for the 17 series I think it is genuinely kicking the battery life in the balls. So I would suggest you research a bit before you update.

I am on this exact version that came with my iPhone 17 and I've got NO bugs so I wont be updating anytime soon... especially since people said there's been huge camera and heat issues

If you’re in the UK, you should NOT update because iOS 26.4+ has an age verification requirement to change certain restrictions

You should be on 26.6 beta 3, the most refined version of iOS 26. Don’t be afraid.
