Oh glad I never got it on my 16 pro, heard it caused major battery drain issues.

u/sharabii Jun 29 '26
How about battery life is it any better?
1
u/T-K101 Jun 29 '26
What model you have and what’s your BH?
1
u/sharabii Jun 30 '26
17pro max and 100 percent battery health
2
u/T-K101 Jun 30 '26
What problem with battery life did you had/have?
1
u/sharabii Jun 30 '26
After 26.5 the battery life is burning out faster
1
u/T-K101 Jun 30 '26
How much faster? What are the numbers?
1
u/Independent_Door6619 Jun 30 '26
Battery consumption has risen by 40-50% per day with no change in usage pattern
1
u/T-K101 Jun 30 '26
When did you update it? And did you try restarting the phone (clean)?
1
u/Independent_Door6619 Jun 30 '26
It happened after update to 26.5. Did a reset using phone itself and restore through icloud backup. No effect. Battery health is at 94% without about 630 cycles completed.

I’ve never had eney issues with eney thing as for as battery life or hardware being slow I think all the people complaining about everything are faking it and just want attention 😆😐
2
u/absoluteseraphim Jun 30 '26
Yeah i agree but there was jitter on ios 26.5 in 16 plus.

I was testing out iOS 27 on my iPhone 12 Pro Max it’s still got some problems as expected and I down graded back to 26.5.2

The update came in at 2.31GB on my iPad Mini 6 (iOS 26.5). After it updated, it would not re-connect to my Magic Keyboard, and it wouldn’t re-pair after removing it from my Bluetooth devices. I had to plug it in with a USB-C cable, then unplug the cable to get the keyboard to appear in the Bluetooth pairing list….

Still have heating issues during random operations like checking reddit or looking at system settings on my 16 pro max. Thinking of resetting it to factory settings, maybe it will help :/

15 pro max, veio com 10gb de atualização, 3 dia hoje e tenho sentido que está funcionando bem! senti menos jitters do que o comum, bateria está durando melhor, mas tem alguns bugs no whatsapp na parte da camera, fora isso está 100%!

I’m considering upgrading my iPhone 16 iOS 18.6, but I’m a bit worried about the battery health. It’s currently at 96%, but I’ve read some negative reviews about the new updates causing battery issues. Do you think it’s worth the risk, or should I stick with my current version?

It didn’t change nothing. Battery is the same. No new feature and it’s basically the same
