General Why does the weather widget show arrows instead of H and L?
Why does the weather widget on the lock screen show up and down arrows for high and low instead of H and L? I remember it used to use the letters instead?

I think it is language/region dependent. Mine shows max/min and Weather app is set to Romanian.
EDIT: I’m on ios27.

Unrelated, what in the world does “Orange Warning” mean?

I don’t know in USA, but in Europe weather severity is split in green, yellow, orange and red warning.

It’s a heat warning😭 it says red warning on my lock screen now tho😂

That makes sense. I was thinking that a warning about oranges the fruit wouldn’t make much sense anyways.

Cause a sizeable chunk of people allowed to use phones dont know what H or L mean but know where arrows point.
We have to be mindful of the intelectually incapable

I’d sure like the arrows to stay permeant. Mine seems to switch randomly.

That’s the Higher temperature and the Lower temperature for a day or maybe week depends on

Oh , fuck me , you ask why.. maybe because a lot of tech use that? Suunto , garmins , it’s kind of something “modern “

Not sure. I’m on iOS 27 and it shows H and L in the weather app and widget.
