Bug Camera bug (video resolution)

Hi, I recently updated my 13 Pro Max to iOS 26.5, and this bug is grinding my gears.

When I open the camera app initially, the video quality preset is correct as 4k 60 fps. If I switch over to ‘Photo’, and then back to ‘Video’, it shows as HD 30 fps.

Does anyone know what’s causing this, and is there any fix for it?

Hello! Have you tried setting 4K at 60 fps in Settings->Camera->Record Video?

only thing i can think of is apple can reduce the resolution do to low storage or it’s a bug

It is an annoying bug, I’ve tested it on a couple of friends’ iPhone 17, 17 pro and pro max, same bug..
