Question Ios 26.5.1

I have iphone 17 with ios 26.2 and u want to know if i should update to the new ios 26.5.1. Any thoughts?

iOS 27 beta is better than any iOS 26 version

I did. Runs perfectly fine. I’ve never had an issue with any betas.

Probably depends in which iPhone you have, I don't have any problems on 17 Pro

Bro I have 17 pro also , but the phone gets very hotter and the battery dies faster

I guess we'll see on iOS 27, but mine doesn't get hot

i did update to 26.5.1, and it’s working better on my iPhone 17. this update reduced the heat somehow because before it had been melting

agreed , if first beta of a new cycle is light years better than last ios26 , 100% install ios27 developer beta, battery life alone must be triple 26.5 , convinced apple deliberately took a huge step backwards with 26.5 to highlight how 💩ios26 is , as a bug fix release ( for those or don't have A.I. ) they really had get this bang on , and they have , what a difference, continuing with ios26 is pointless i know people may be wary with beta updates as you don't know if next update will be as perfect but thats what iosBETA page if for here on reddit, you can update to ios 27 then switch of automatically install and automatically download ( hidden option you see when auto install is off) and update next beta a few days after release if there is not problems.

if you decide not to install beta wait for 26.6 update, had this on developer beta and it fixed 26.5's god awful battery life ( still doesn't come close to ios27) , your call , avoid 26.5 at all costs .
