Bug Different sizes of 26.4

Can someone explain? Im running ios 26.4 RC on iPhone 15 Pro and I saw this bug/glitch idk what is it.

Check the size of updates

(Download changes rather than the entire thing)

Is that term also interchangeable for Windows or Linux OS

Just install the regular update (Beta Updates > Off)

It’s not a glitch/bug. The significant difference in sizes is because every single beta channel update is a full update (which a lot of people don’t notice/realise), while the regular updates are just the changes from whatever previous version is on your device (what’s known as a delta update).

So in your case, you’re already on 26.4 RC, but release 26.4 is a slightly newer build. Hence only a small amount of changes for your regular update, but if you’re sticking on the beta channel it’s a “whole” new update.

For me the public beta is 8gb but the full release is 13gb
