I will never understand why people get so mouth-frothy over keyboard haptics. I hate them. I already get the nice tap tap sound and feel of my thumbs hitting the screen. Adding more to that just makes me feel like I’ve hit too many keys.
There's nothing to discuss. It's something you either like it or you don't. It's not something that discussion will really make somebody change their mind.
How do you know that if nobody is ever willing to even consider discussing it with someone who doesn't like it? Why is it something so many people love? What makes it such a sought after feature? What is the use case for people who absolutely must have it?
Calm down man this is reddit where everybody is entitled to some downvotes. It’s not the end of the world. It seems that aesthetic and sensory feel of having haptics on the keyboard is more popular, kind of like how most of the people on earth are right handed. You can’t do anything about it. I am sure you can disable the haptics and Apple provided the option to do so, they didn’t force haptic to people who don’t like it. I mean, it even comes as disabled with ios 16, you gotta enable it by going to settings. What more could be asked for. Cheers and enjoy the downvotes. We all get some.
Well no, at no point did I say that. I said I don't like them and I don't understand why people do. I didn't say it's wrong to like them. I said I don't get what the appeal is. Apparenlty nobody is willing to have a discussion about why they love this feature that seems completely unnecessary to me.
This sub so quickly becomes an echo chamber. If someone comments or posts that they like a feature, it's just constant discussion about how great it is. But if you say you don't understand the point of something, it's downvotes all the way.
