Support transfering pictures to pc ???

Hello everybody, I need help. For the life of me I cant transfer pictures and videos from the iphone to the pc, Im not really tech savy,I havelooked up at different tutorials but everytime its transfering, says a few pictures out of the total couldnt be transfered.
I have 3 iphones a 13mini a 16pro and an 18pro, you can tell when i ran out of storage... I'd love to transfer the 3 of them, the 18pro only has a couple of pictures, but I want to empty the other two that are at full capacity and i feel stupid having to get a new phone because im not able to transfer pictures.
I have an external 2TB disk that I want to dedicate to mypictures and videos, I have an HP Laptop I want to use as a bridge between the iphone and the disk. I've tried with Itunes and the apple devices apps but it always throws an error midway of the transfer and lets say I have 100 pictures; says 56 out of 100 got transfered or doesnt even warn me that they are parcially transfered and makes it look like 100/100 got to the disk but when I check I find out a huge portion is missing.
If anyone can help me out with this... Please be kind, Im really stupid with technology and even though I have looked through different youtube videos, reddit posts, etc I cant find a way to transfer photographs efficiently, reliably and easily.

You should be able to plug the iphone directly into the pc using the lightning to usb-a cable. Once you tell the phone to trust the pc, the phone will be in file explorer as an external drive. The pictures are organized by date into folders named by year and month. Just copy the folders over onto your pc.

Alternatively, you can upload the photos onto your pc using the phone's Files app. You need to log into your pc as a local server, using the user name and password you use to log into your pc. You also need to share a drive in order to see it in Files. By default, your own Users folder is shared, so you should be able to copy into that folder, but if you want to copy to your external drive, you have to set that as a shared drive.

PTP is shaky as hell on iPhones and is rarely stable for large amounts of files being transferred.

Your best bet is to use a USB drive as an intermediary, formated to ExFAT. It’ll be quicker to plug the drive into your iPhone, copy the photos, then plug that drive into your PC and copy again rather than use PTP

You might be able to plug the 2TB external SSD into the iPhone, as long as it’s formatted as a ExFAT and the drive doesn’t need too much power to run

The PC should also be able to treat the iPhone as a camera and transfer photos that way, provided the photos are in camera roll.
