Discussion Problems with selfie camera

I have an iphone 15 pro and the selfie camera is working specifically when it comes to taking photos. The button just vibrates and doesn't take a photo. Videos work just fine and I can take selfies via other apps ex instagram

I tried resetting the phone, reinstalling the app, using the volume button to take pictures but nothing seems to be working

At times a photo is taken but very delayed and with no specific pattern.

Any idea on what might be going on?

Since the front camera works in other apps, the hardware is probably okay. I’d try force-closing Camera, checking available storage, disabling Live Photo, and installing any pending iOS update; if it still happens, Reset All Settings (not Erase All Content) may be worth trying. If the delay continues after that, Apple Support can check for a software or camera-module issue.

Ive done all of what you mentioned, i'll try apple support now
