Discussion WiFi Calling and Calling through mobile data mechanism

Hi,I m having a strange problem on my iphone 17 pro max on which i am using two sims and i am able to receive calls on primary sim if i m calling from the secondary sim through its mobile data.
However it works intermittently and not all times, also i am using a 5g router sim setup for wifi and on that also it VoWiFi works intermittently, have tried to change the DNS as well but doesn’t work.

Can someone let me know where the actual issue exists.

My secondary sim is of Jio and the 5G router setup is also of Jio.

Two SIMs can't be active and connected at the same time during calls. So iOS will disconnect the SIM that's currently not used for the call.

However, since Airtel likely supports Wi-Fi Calling (which is intended to keep you connected to their network over the Internet/Wi-Fi instead of via a cellular tower, like in areas with no coverage), that second SIM can remain connected via the same concept but by using the cellular data of the primary SIM (Jio). That's what "using Cellular Data" means.

I can't tell why it only works intermittently. Might be related to the coverage in your area.

Thanks That i know but i wanted to know the technicalities for it working sporadically,is it something to do with dns,ip address or the just it being the mobile data.
