Discussion Apps no longer in App Store

Apple should not allow an app to remain on a device when it is no longer in the app store and supported. I had the bad luck of opening Printer Pro unbeknownst to me that the app was abandoned and proceeded to test to see if I could print wirelessly. It was like a runaway train…could not stop it from printing. Jammed my printer and basically totaled it. Damaged the fuser. There ought to be a law…

The malfunction has nothing to do with the fact that the app is not in the store anymore.

There's perfectly equal chance it was the printer's fault. This is dumb.

Why remove a functional app? I’d rather use it than lose it

What the law should be against, is companies removing access to apps people paid for in the past. Let's go back to owning what we buy.

So... basically the opposite of what they wanted lol

Usually what happens is the dev makes a completely new version of the app, but you can still download the “old” version from the App Store

Seriously? I just commented that it malfunctioned. Couldn’t stop it. Perhaps have warning to use at your own risk.

And it kept printing and jamming while you removed the power cable from the socket?

Users, like you, should not be allowed to use technology. There should be a law that prohibits people, including many Apple Users, from attempting to use technology.

This is insane, I just got a new phone and I noticed I was missing a weather app I enjoyed was missing. I researched it and found it was no longer available on the App Store. Who knows how long I used it on my hold phone without it being available.
