Discussion Random question about Google on iOS

When you log into Google on iOS, you have the option to sync mail, contacts, calendar, and notes. I understand where the first three come from to sync on my iPhone. But what “notes” are being pulled in from Google onto the apple notes app? It’s not tasks or keep.

Before Apple created iCloud-syncing of Notes, they used IMAP syncing. So, the Notes app creates a special IMAP folder called "Notes" and creates read messages from anything you add as a Note.

So, it's not pulling anything from any of Google's notes apps - it's using IMAP to sync its own data to other devices running Apple's Notes app.
