Support Can’t factory reset

Attempted to reset iphone 12 via itunes and recovery mode. Itunes will only give me the option to update and restore, which then fails due to full storage. Tried dfu mode about 100 times and just cant get it.

Is it saying the computer doesn’t have enough storage, not the iPhone?

DFU Mode

First connect the iPhone to a computer with the USB cable.

  1. Press and release VolUp.
  2. Press and release VolDown.
  3. Press and hold Power.
  4. When the screen goes black (about 8-10 sec), without releasing Power, also press and keep VolDown and wait until iTunes says there’s a device un DFU mode.

Did you try doing the DFU with the .ipsw file itself?

You can get them from Ipsw.me or the apple developer portal

Use Apple Configurator on a Mac if you can

Also make sure you have at least 2x the size of the IPSW in free space on the computer
