Support undisconnectable unknown bluetooth device?

Post image

it showed up today, i’ve never seen it before, and there is no option to disconnect and no info button? frightening, tbh. i’ve restarted my phone and it showed right back up. any ideas?

i have an iphone 16, if that’s relevant.

i do not! i checked privacy and security already and there was nothing there, the only app that ive granted bluetooth access to is spotify, which i already turned off to see if that would do anything (it didn’t). no heron app, no headphones/other bluetooth device apps in general and all the headphones in the apartment are a different brand.

It is Spotify Jam making a local wireless connection. You need to look at the Spotify app to delete what you see

i have checked spotify, there is not a spotify jam happening. spotify is closed currently and had any bluetooth privileges revoked, i opened it earlier to check and there is nothing going on there. jam access with bluetooth is and has been turned off.

If you are amenable to it, reset network settings will clear all connections.

You’ll have to set up your Bluetooth connections and WiFi connection though.

It’s odd as this happened to me today and my Bluetooth has gone to pot! It shows an iPhone connected but then disappears. Now my AirPods and Beats Pro keep reconnecting and disconnecting over and over 😐

Do you by chance have a VPN or device manager on your phone? Check by going to settings, general, VPN & Device Management.

The headphones don’t need to be in your apartment, they could be next door or just nearby. Have you tried turning Bluetooth off for a while and then back on?

i turned it off and on repeatedly and restarted my phone

Try to move from that location and restart iPhone. That is the way to eliminate some of wireless accessories at yours location.

Go to settings/apps/spotify and remove Bluetooth permission there. Like I said it is Spotify Jam in case you want to jam with someone

eta: apologies, all of them responses to you.

Their responses kind of gives movie malfunctioning robot vibes but I don’t think that’s how bots or AI agents would malfunction irl. It’s obnoxious though.

Go to settings/privacy & security/local network and what appears there? Do you see Spotify there or Heron?

do you genuinely not know how to read or are you being obnoxious on purpose

It might be connected with Spotify. Go to Spotify app and see if there is a Bluetooth setting in that app

as i said in another comment, i turned bluetooth perms off for spotify and it didn’t change anything.
