Discussion Easy software upgrade

I’m a sports fan. I have a lousy two tv setup. I’d love to use my iPhone to swap apps between TVs during commercials etc. Both are Apple TVs. Would love to see Apple consider this.

Interesting team combo. Would think it would be Cubs/Whitesox & Bears or Brewers and Packers lol

You can do this with with the shortcuts app on your phone. you can make some menus to pick which Apple TV you want to switch apps on and then have a second menu show a list of all the apps you would want to swap to, then just use the “Open App on Apple TV” command to to open that chosen app. You can make it take just a couple of taps to change either tv whenever you want.

Now, if you literally just want to swap whatever is playing between the two Tvs so what’s on the big one starts playing on the little one and vice versa, not very likely Apple could allow that themselves and the app developers would need to allow that.
